The 33 projects that will show what they are worth in “South Music” are announced

South Music announced the 33 music projects, selected by the panel of judges, who will participate in the first edition of this event aimed at professionals in the music industry, taking place on the 15th and 16th of June, in Faro.

The announcement was made this Wednesday, May 26th. After receiving more than 150 applications, with a wide range of musical genres, the panel of juries, composed of Inês Meneses, Rui Miguel Abreu, Fernando Alvim, Gil Silva, Sandra Faria, Renato Júnior, Paulo Silva and Nuno Saraiva, selected 33 projects musicals, between bands and solo artists.

2143, Ben & The Pirates, The Black Teddys, Carol, Scar, Danz, The Elephant Woman, Galopim, Goldcobra and Grafonola Voadora & Napoleão Mira are some of the projects chosen by the panel of judges.

For this first edition, Leon Baldesberger's Meersalz, Little's 4tet, MEDO, The Mirandas, Moda Vestra, Nanook, O Vagabundo, No Time To Waste Noite and Orfélia were also selected to participate in the event.

Paulinho Lemos, Plasticine, GURI Project, RealPunch, Reflect, Riding a Meteor, Stone Breaker, Subtil, Tabea, Teresa Aleixo, Time for T, Villain Outbreak and Yuca are the remaining projects selected for this initiative.

Until the date of the event, all bands and solo artists will attend preparatory training actions, in areas that are important for the development of their professional path. At the end, participants will have to perform live, in format ShowCase, for the music industry professionals present.

All 150 applications submitted complied with the requirements stipulated in the regulations, such as the presentation of original compositions and the place of birth or residence in the Algarve and where, among the hundreds of profiles created, there are several professionals from the 13 Algarve municipalities, in the categories of Author , Producer, Technician, Agent, Promoter and Booker.

To participate in these two days of networking, s and conferences, interested parties must register in advance for the event website.

After the event, South Music will continue in a platform mode where videos, audios, information and contacts of the bands and artists participating in the initiative will be hosted, aggregating various contents and functioning as a communication vehicle with the music industry.

South Music has as partners the Association of Show Promoters (APEFE), Portuguese Society of Authors (SPA), GDA, Audiogest, AMAEI, Aporfest and AEAPP – Associação Espectáculo.
