Secondary students from Pinheiro e Rosa will bury the time capsule to be opened in 2071

Among the objects are texts and paintings by students, as well as an in-depth study of the evolution of the pandemic since the 1st case of Covid-19 in Portugal

The 11th grade students of the Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School, in Faro, will bury on June 7th, at 11:00 am, a time capsule to be opened in 2071.

This capsule will aim to be opened 50 years from now to give new generations a testimony of what life was like in 2021.

Among the objects are texts and paintings by students, an in-depth study of the evolution of the pandemic since the 1st case of Covid-19 in Portugal, as well as a regional and a national newspaper.

The ceremony will take place outside the Pinheiro e Rosa Secondary School, under the coordination of the class director, Mathematics teacher Vasco Coelho.

As for the students…they expect to be present on the day of the opening of the capsule, on the distant 7th of June 2071.
