Dino Lourenço, who has been president of the Parish Council of Vila do Bispo e Raposeiro since 2013, will be a candidate for the Municipal Council, by an independent movement, in this year's Municipalities.
In the announcement of the candidacy, Dino Lourenço explains that, after so many years at the head of the Parish Council, he acquired «deep knowledge of municipal management, and of how to solve the problems of our municipality».
The mayor was elected for the first time in 2013, supported by the PS, and in 2017, when he was re-elected, he was part of the lists of the “Together for Change” coalition (PSD, CDS, MPT and PPM).
Now, "after several conversations held with many people, where we enthusiastically debated the state of the county", Dino Lourenço guarantees that he has assembled "a team, capable, motivated and with a huge sense of public cause", starting "a journey to bring people together, to that in the coming months we can announce the various candidacies for local authorities».
“This is the time to unite, debate ideas and create solutions, the time to listen and be heard, to contribute to a candidacy of the population and not of parties! If elected, I will be the same person as always, independent, humble and ready to help, I will be present at all times and to serve my council», he says.
«This is an application to build bridges and not barriers, to bring them closer together and not to divide, the desire to do better and not keep everything the same. It's a truly independent candidacy, from people to people. I will not be the president of some, I will be the president of all», he concludes.
Dino Lourenço, in addition to being a mayor, has also been linked to the Humanitarian Association of Voluntary Firefighters of Vila do Bispo, since 2003, also participating in associations, clubs and institutions in the municipality of Vila do Bispo.
