Mestre Xavier Anastácio gives engine workshop at the Quarteira Fishing Port

Maximum number of participants is limited to a total of six people

It will be a “Mar Vivo Workshop”, given by the master Xavier Anastácio. On the 29th and 30th of April and 6th of May, the Quarteira Fishing Port will host a workshop dedicated to all young people and adults who are unemployed in the municipality of Loulé. 

"By hands by the master Xavier Anastácio, a reference in outboard engine mechanics, this will be a workshop where you will learn in a practical way, basic concepts about engine mechanics in general and its operation through the experience of assembly and disassembly of its components». account the Parish Council of Quarteira.

This training workshop aims to provide hands-on experience for participants to become familiar with the basic tools, methods and techniques of mechanics work.

This free initiative will take place at the Fishing Port of Quarteira, for four days in two consecutive weeks: April 29th and 30th, May 6th and 7th, between 9 am and 00 pm and is aimed at all unemployed young people and adults in the Parish of Quarteira and other parishes of the Municipality of Loulé.

«The Oficina Mar Vivo project is a pilot experience in the fight against unemployment and social exclusion, in the parish of Quarteira, which uses the art of nautical carpentry as a vehicle for integration».

There are five social investors in the Municipality of Loulé that have “embraced” this project: Loulé Municipal Council, Quarteira Parish Council, Inframoura, Marina Vilamoura and Vilamoura SAILING.

Due to the specificities of the work to be developed, availability of space and tools, the maximum number of participants is limited to a total of six people.
