Algarve hotels and resorts reopen their doors with offers and surprises

After months of closure, the hotel industry in the Algarve is finally back in business

With a dropper and with all the necessary measures for the times to come, the lack of confidence came to animate many of those who make a living from the Algarve's hotels and restaurants. Signs that life will “restart”, even if it is slow.

Many hotel units did not close, of those that closed, some have already reopened and others are working on the last details to open soon.

Renovations, discounts, spring/summer promotions, new packs and even offers of quick tests to Covid are some of the measures implemented to captivate customers, whether for accommodation or for hotel groups' restaurants, open to the general public.

 

 

The AP Resorts Group comes up with news in the AP Victoria Sports & Beach, in Albufeira. The Podium restaurant was remodeled and reopened with a new concept related to the theme of sport and the beach. Since the hotel is located next to Falésia beach, the idea is to portray, through the decoration, the pubs English, «with the use of skin vintage on the sofa, the fabrics herringbone, woods and green tones”, as well as the beach through “natural lintels, light woods, the bar with shuttered shutters and the brick wall, creating an elegant, intimate and unique atmosphere”.

Currently, only the terrace works, complying with all the rules imposed by the Government and the situation will continue for another fifteen days in the municipality of Albufeira. If all goes well, from May 3rd, you can visit the interior of the space and see the new concept and remodeling made and thought by ARQ Tailor's atelier.

 

 

Also in the AP Hotels Group, but this time in Faro, Eva Senses Market, at Eva Senses Hotel, reopens on April 19th. It is a space good gourmet food with a modern and very peculiar decor that refers to an old grocery store. In this restaurant, you can dine and even buy bread and regional products. The space returns with a new letter from the hands of Chef Alberto Carvalho.

«In the Top of dishes suggested by Mercearia, you can find meals such as classic oriental rice from the 80s/90s, pumpkin ravioli with figs, cod lasagna or sirloin bitoque with sweet potato». If you prefer a snack, the range of snacks is varied and, for dessert, the traditional Algarve sweet, D.Rodrigo, is a must. The purpose of this space is to «be a reference in the city of Faro, frequented by all the people who live, work or are just passing through”.

 

 

The Real Hotels Group units, in the Algarve, are getting ready to reopen, on June 1st, with the motto “we are safe on the beach” and offer, during the month of June, rapid screening tests to Covid- 19 so that guests feel safe during their stay.

There are promotions for all tastes and the three hotels in the Algarve offer different services. It's up to you to choose the one that best suits your needs.

If you come as a family, the Grande Real Santa Eulalia Resort & Hotel Spa is the ideal solution. Located in Olhos de Água, Albufeira, this complex has your feet on the beach in the blink of an eye. From June 1st to July 31st, the stay is free for children up to 12 years old, and you have the option to choose whether you prefer to stay in a room or a fully equipped apartment.

In Olhão, in the Royal Marina Residence, you have at your disposal the best apartments overlooking the Ria Formosa. From the 1st of June to the 31st of July, you have free tickets to the islands (for 4 days), a thatch and sunbeds on the islands. Farol or Armona, which are authentic Algarve paradises that you should not miss.

For a holiday for two and being able to enjoy the best that the Algarve has to offer, with your best company, the Hotel Real Marina Hotel & Spa is the right choice. The return of all services from this hotel is scheduled for the 27th of April and the general manager from the space, Gonçalo Narciso dos Santos explains that, «in our palace with more than 100 years, today a five-star boutique hotel and a Michelin , measures were taken into account so that the entire exclusive experience remains, as we want, unforgettable. We are very confident and positive about returning to our spaces, especially with all the surprises prepared for this event».

The hotel's restaurant, Vista Restaurante, also brings new features. Chef João Oliveira (who has a Michelin star) has prepared a new «totally innovative» menu, which gives priority to national products. 90% of the products are of national origin and 80% of these products are from the Algarve and Baixo Alentejo region, which makes this menu «practically composed of dishes based on fish, seafood and shellfish from the Algarve coast in exclusive». 95% of the dishes that make up the menu are new and none of the Chef's signature dishes are present. A fully vegetarian and weekly changed menu is also one of the big news in Vista's return.

As far as the L'Occitane Spa is concerned, the novelty of 2021 is a treatment inspired by one of the products that characterize the Algarve, the almond. There are 120 minutes of pure relaxation, as «the “Almond Ritual of the Algarve” is an exclusive treatment, which begins with an almond hydrotherapy bath, followed by an exfoliation in firming almond paste, ending with a massage in almond oil".

O Salgados Vila das Alagoas belongs to the NAU Hotels & Resorts group, and is located in Herdade dos Salgados, in the municipality of Albufeira. This space has already received guests on Easter weekend and has a set of T3 apartments, fully equipped, which provide security, privacy and comfort for the whole family.

It has seven swimming pools to choose from, a soccer field, a golf course and Salgados beach is only 500 meters away, as is the lagoon.

The big news of the NAU group is in the Montargil Lake & Villas, in Alentejo: now you can be accompanied by your pet, dogs or cats, weighing up to 40 kilos. «The stay of 4-legged animals is only allowed in the Villas typology, where, upon arrival, a surprise kit will await». Animals are not allowed in the hotel's public areas and, whenever this happens, they must be on a leash or carried on your lap.

Don't forget to bring your bigeye's food and bed/pillow, as they are not included in the price of your stay.

 

Of the seven units of the Luna Hotels & Resorts Group in the Algarve, Luna Clube Oceano will be the first to reopen, on 26 April. For all units in the region, in Albufeira, Vilamoura and Alvor, there are campaigns in place, already available on the Group's website. Regarding prices, savings on vacations or getaways can reach 45%.

«With the reopening on the horizon, we are working hard, mobilizing our teams to fulfill the goal of welcoming our customers, meeting the safety issues that mark today, but investing heavily in quality and experience, determining factors in our activity”, stress those responsible for the Group.

 

 

Anyone who likes to play golf can do it safely. O Palmares Ocean Living & Golf, in Lagos, and the Amendoeira Golf Resort, in Alcantarilha, have reopened their hotels, as well as the clubhouses and golf courses. the restaurant of Clubhouse de Palmares opened in November and is led by Chef Louis Anjos, recognized with a star Michelin. «It offers Mediterranean cuisine, with some of the most important bivalves in the Alvor estuary – which surrounds part of the resort».

For lovers of the sport, this is a great suggestion to be able to practice it again. The Amendoeira Golf Resort has three world-class golf courses and a lighted golf course for you to play at dusk.

A Quinta do Lago Resort reopens on the 19th two more restaurants, of the 13 that were closed.

Casa do Lago and Dano's reopen their doors «on full throttle». Dano's, located in the multi-sports center The Campus, is recognized for being a sports bar, with a modern decor, very vintage and relaxed, ideal for groups of families and friends who want to spend quality time. The famous fish & chips and the hamburgers are present in the menu and, as tradition dictates, sports bars, the selection of craft beer is vast.
