Letters with codes to respond to the Census are being delivered today

In all, around 2021 thousand people will be involved in the realization and processing of the 15 Census data

Letters with codes to respond to the 2021 Census questionnaires on the Internet are beginning to reach citizens today, in an operation that this year is marked by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Around 11 census takers are starting today to deliver letters to households' mailboxes, which should start responding in censuses2021.ine.pt from April 19, the census day to which all responses must refer.

Until 3 May, citizens can also answer the questionnaires over the Internet or through alternative means provided by the National Institute of Statistics (INE), which include the telephone number 210542021.

The answers can also be given at the e-counters of the Parish Councils or by filling in the paper questionnaires that the enumerators will start to deliver from May 31st, complying with public health safety protocols.

In all, around 2021 thousand people will be involved in the realization and processing of the 15 Census data.
