Return of show tickets scheduled for 2020 and postponed to 2022 approved

Measure approved by the council of ministers

Holders of tickets for shows and festivals initially planned for 2020, and meanwhile postponed to 2022, can request the return of their value, approved the Government today, in the Council of Ministers.

According to the final communiqué from today's meeting, "in the case of shows and festivals initially scheduled for the year 2020 and that only take place in 2022, it is expected that: consumers may request a refund of the ticket price, within 14 working days from the date scheduled for the event in 2021”.

If the consumer does not ask for the return of the ticket value, "it is considered that he accepts the rescheduling of the show for the year 2022".

The Government clarifies that "the same happens with the vouchers issued with validity until the end of the year 2021, which will be valid until the end of the year 2022".

These changes are included in the decree-law “which changes the exceptional and temporary response measures to the covid-19 disease pandemic in the cultural and artistic scope”, approved today” and which “establishes the rules applied to the shows of the year 2021”.
