The municipality of Vila Real de Santo António is organizing the Youth Forum, a project aimed at debating ideas and exchanging opinions on themes and issues selected and identified by the municipality's youth.

Taking into account the pandemic situation that the country is going through, the initiative will be promoted, at an early stage, through digital platforms.

The theme of the first forum will be chosen through online voting that can be done on social networks and the municipal website of the Municipality of Vila Real de Santo António.

After selecting the most voted subjects, a debate panel will be organized, composed of guests and professionals, by selected area, in a dynamic of dialogue and sharing that can meet the current interests and needs of young people.

At a time when most students are still in distance learning, this forum also seeks to be a civic tool capable of increasing the levels of youth participation in decision-making and in the debate on strategic issues.

Also last February, the VRSA municipality launched the "Question, that people answer" line (available through Whatsapp or telephone 911 006 978), a service that aims to provide support and advice to young people in the municipality in such different areas. such as education, training, employment, housing and social support, sport, culture, associations or health.

Also in this context, the municipality of VRSA launched, at the end of 2020, a competition for the creation of the logo of its Youth Center, whose winning proposal, selected from almost two dozen works presented, will now appear in the graphic materials that come to be produced.

These are some of the 10 activities aimed at young people in the municipality, which are being prepared for the year 2021 by the City Council of VRSA, and which focus on areas as diverse as artistic expression, urban art, sport, professional training or volunteering.
