There will be no audience in Formula 1 and Moto GP at the Autodromo do Algarve

Government does not want public at major sporting events until the end of the deconfinement period

This year, this scene will not be repeated at the Autódromo do Algarve

There will be no public at the Portuguese Formula 1 GP (2nd of May), nor at the Moto GP (18th of April), at the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve, announced the Government in response to questions raised by the newspaper Expresso.

Until the end of the current period of deconfinement “by dropper”, that is, until mid-May, “the mentioned events will not have a public”, the Government replied to Express questionso.

This decision also includes the Premier League final games.

Race organizers had predicted that F1 and Moto GP tickets would include the cost of a mandatory Covid-19 test. But that solution will not go forward, as the government does not want people to attend major sporting events until the end of the period of discontinuation.
