Even so, and despite the «numerous stimuli and the many expressions of solidarity received, either from AHETA members, insisting not to resign, or from other sectors of life and regional and national society, but also from citizens and institutions of others countries", which he thanks, the option of Elidérico Viegas is, in fact, to leave the direction of AHETA

The soon to be former president of the Algarve business association hopes "that the future responsible for AHETA's destinations will know how to continue the uncompromising defense of the interests of the Algarve's hotel and tourist businessmen, as well as of the region and tourism in general."

"Under the statutory terms, when the chairman of the board is unable to attend, there will be a new election for the entire associative body and to complete the respective mandate," concluded Elidérico Viegas.
