Schools of Faro will have 28 more workers from the 15th

This measure aims to "complete deficiencies in school clusters and improve the service provided to the entire educational community"

The Chamber of Faro it is preparing to hire 28 workers for the schools in the county, who should be placed from 15th March in the various groups in the county.

The municipality approved, at a Chamber meeting held on March 1st, the reinforcement of hiring 28 operational assistants for educational action for schools in the municipality, «using for this purpose the already constituted internal recruitment reserve» following a competition published in the Diário of the Republic in June 2020.

Thus, another 4 workers will be integrated into the D. Afonso III School Group, another 3 in the Montenegro School Group, another 10 in the João de Deus School Group, another 6 in the Pinheiro and Rosa Group of Schools and another 5 in the Grouping of Tomás Cabreira Schools.

"The reinforcement of non-teaching staff, under an indefinite employment contract, aims to address deficiencies in school clusters and improve the service provided to the entire educational community," according to the Chamber of Faro.

The municipality thus increases to 329 the number of employees placed in the five groupings in the municipality, complying with the ratio determined by the Ministry of Education per school grouping.

For Rogério Bacalhau, president of the Chamber, who holds the responsibility for Education, this is "another investment we make in improving teaching conditions in our schools, where these assistants will perform extremely important functions for their proper functioning".
