Desidério Silva will present, this Wednesday, March 10, at Jardim Dr. Frutuoso da Silva, in Albufeira, the candidacy of the independent movement “Desidério Por Albufeira” to the City Council and the other municipal bodies of the municipality.
The former mayor of Albufeira, elected by the PSD, and of the Algarve Tourism Region, broke away from the social democrats in the summer, such as the Sul Informação advanced, and announced, at the time, the intention to move towards an independent candidacy that will now be formalized.
In July, Desidério Silva explained to our newspaper that he left the party because the PSD did not want his collaboration, nor took advantage of his know-how and he stressed that he did not see himself in the «strategy, in recent years» of the Câmara de Albufeira.
