Ana Paula Martins is the PS candidate for Tavira Chamber

Ana Paula Martins has been, since October 2019, president of the Tavira Chamber, after the departure of Jorge Botelho as deputy

Ana Paula Martins, current president of the Tavira Chamber, is the PS candidate in the next municipal councils. 

The mayor was unanimously elected by Socialist Party militants to be the PS candidate for Tavira City Council.

Ana Paula Martins has been, since October 2019, president of the Tavira Chamber, after Jorge Botelho's departure as deputy.

Before, Ana Paula Martins had been vice president, between 2013 and 2019, and councilor with the areas of Administration and Finance, between 2009 and 2013.

In her intervention before the Tavirense socialists, the mayor “assumed to be motivated and available to give the maximum for the land where she is born and resides, namely to continue the work in progress and to set in motion new structuring projects for the county ».

The candidate also referred that, «as a result of the strict and competent governance of the City Council over the past few years, where the municipality's accounts were put in order and a vast number of public works investments were made, it is now possible to support families , companies and social, sporting and cultural institutions that are experiencing greater difficulties in the face of the pandemic”.

Finally, he guaranteed that, if he deserves the trust of the people of Tavir, who want to listen to the concerns and concerns, "everything will be done so that the municipality has more economic growth and is more solidary and sustainable".

The candidate is married, mother of one daughter, and has a degree in management from the Technical University of Lisbon – Instituto Superior de Economia e Gestão. He has a postgraduate degree in Corporate Finance from the University of Algarve. Professionally, she is a senior technician at the Social Security Institute.
