In Loco approves 24 applications for a program that will create 57 jobs in the countryside

The support to be granted, through the European Social Fund, amounts to almost 3,2 million euros

Associação In Loco, which manages the Local Action Group (GAL) for the Interior of the Central Algarve, approved 24 applications for an employment program that will create 57 new jobs. The support is in the order of 3,2 million euros.

According to In Loco, “the promoters of the 45 applications submitted to this LAG are being notified”.

The analysis carried out «resulted in an approval rate of 53%, among the three typologies of the +CO3SO Employment incentive system: Interior, for low-density parishes, Urban, for the rest of the territory, and Social Entrepreneurship, aimed at entities of the social economy'.

This is, according to In Loco, "a higher rate than that verified at national level".

Micro and small companies and individual entrepreneurs, as well as social economy entities, with approved applications, now have financial support for hiring unemployed, inactive or for the creation of their own job.

The support to be granted, through the European Social Fund, amounts to almost 3,2 million euros and is intended to finance, out of pocket, salaries, social charges and other expenses related to job creation, for a period of 36 months.

“Demand far exceeded expectations, so it was necessary to increase the allocation of notices by more than 2,5 million euros. This interest is synonymous with the resilience of companies and social economy entities, the will to overcome the crisis, betting on a future with more employment and investment», says In Loco.

The approved applications are framed in the Local Development Strategy for the Inland Central Algarve, which covers the following parishes: Guia and Paderne (Albufeira), Santa Bárbara de Nexe, Conceição and Estoi (Faro), Alte, Ameixial, Boliqueime, Salir, São Sebastião and Querença, Tôr and Benafim (Loulé), Pechão and Moncarapacho and Fuzeta (Olhão), São Brás de Alportel; São Bartolomeu de Messines and São Marcos da Serra (Silves) and Cachopo, Santa Catarina da Fonte do Bispo and Luz de Tavira and Santo Estêvão (Tavira).
