Alcoutim City Council will transfer, to the four Parish Councils of the municipality (Alcoutim and Pereiro, Vaqueiros, Giões and Martim Longo), an amount of more than 97 thousand euros.
The program contracts to be signed were approved at the last chamber meeting, held on February 3rd.
This financial support is mainly intended to “ensure the organization of cultural and communication activities, as well as the realization of various works”.
The Alcoutim Council explains that «this collaboration allows the parishes to be provided with the necessary means to provide a higher quality public service, contributing to the approximation of the decision-making power of the populations, to the promotion of social and territorial cohesion and to the improvement of citizens' living conditions”.
