Olhão: 14 users and 4 employees infected at ACASO's home for the disabled

Four of the users went to the hospital "for safety reasons"

14 users and four employees of the ACASO home for people with disabilities, in Olhão, are infected with the new coronavirus, he confirmed to the Sul Informação António Pina, chairman of the board of the Cultural and Social Support Association of Olhão.

As a result of this outbreak, all users, who are «about 80», including residents and beneficiaries of the Occupational Activities Center, and all employees, «in a universe of more than a hundred people» have already been tested.

The same official told our newspaper that four of the users "were referred to the hospital, for safety reasons", and that the remaining three dozen residents, those infected and those who tested negative, "are in isolation, in their respective rooms, with all conditions».

As for the users of the Occupational Activities Center, who do not stay overnight at the institution, “they are not coming here, they are staying in their respective homes”.

António Pina assured that the situation is being closely monitored, both by the Health Authority and by the Social Security, and that all recommended procedures have been adopted.
