Japanese international Nakamura presented as goalkeeper for Portimonense

In the presentation, the goalkeeper guaranteed that he will do his "best for Portimonense"

Kosuke Nakamura, international goalkeeper for Japan, is the new reinforcement of the football team of Portimonense, having been presented this Tuesday, 12 January. 

The athlete, who joins Samuel Portugal and Ricardo Ferreira in the goalkeeper list of Alvinegros, arrives from the Japanese team Kashiwa Reysol, where he fulfilled most of his career.

In the presentation, the goalkeeper guaranteed that he will do his "best for Portimonense".

As for the interest of the Algarve in the goalkeeper, it had been there for "some time". “I felt they were really interested and, as Portimonense is famous in Japan, I decided without thinking,” said Nakamura.

The 25-year-old has already been capped by Japan six times and confessed that he spoke to Koki Anzai, right-back, and Gonda (former Portimonense goalkeeper) who told him that the Algarve club «is a very good place " to play.

Rodiney Sampaio, president of SAD do Portimonense, said that Nakamura will be "one more to help the group in the fight for maintenance."

The Algarve is in last place in the First Football League, with 11 points won.
