The Episcopal Conference Portugal (CEP) announced today the suspension of Masses, from Saturday, as well as catechesis and other pastoral activities that involve contact, given the pandemic situation in the country.
"Aware of the extreme gravity of the pandemic situation that we are experiencing in our country, we believe that it is a moral imperative for all citizens, and particularly for Christians, to take maximum health precautions to avoid contagion, helping to overcome this situation." , refers to the CEP in a statement.
The dioceses of the autonomous regions of the Azores and Madeira will provide their own guidelines.
