The Regional Health Administration (ARS) of the Algarve, in response to a question posed by Sul Informação, guarantees that the malfunction in the computer system at the Vila do Bispo Health Center «does not compromise the performance of vaccination by the health teams».

This had been one of the concerns expressed today by the president of the Parish Council of Sagres, who denounced that the municipality of Vila do Bispo has no medical appointments since 2 December, ie “more than 50 days ago”, due to a malfunction in the computer system.

In response to our newspaper, ARS Algarve, which reveals that it is a "failure of a server", which, it admits, is a "computer-level constraint", announces that "the process of acquiring new equipment', so that the faulty system 'can be replaced as soon as possible'.

However, «despite the limitations of the computer system caused by the breakdown of a server, the Vila do Bispo Health Center is operating at a medical, nursing and administrative level, not jeopardizing the service and the provision of care. health to the population,” adds the ARS.

That entity adds that "the day's resource consultations for acute situations, as well as nursing treatments, are working normally, with only difficulties in scheduling scheduled consultations".

Luís Miguel Paixão, president of the Parish Council of Sagres, stresses, however, that the breakdown “make it impossible to schedule new appointments and cancel appointments already scheduled, because the doctor does not have access to the patient's history”.

This means that, in the municipality of Vila do Bispo, only "the day's consultations, renewals of sick leave and prescriptions" are carried out.
