Albufeira expands wastewater and supply network in the Texugueiras area

Investment is around 300 thousand euros

The work to expand the domestic wastewater and water supply network in the Texugueiras (Albufeira) area begins in February, at an investment of around 300 thousand euros.

This work comprises the expansion of the water supply network by 980 meters and the Domestic Waste Water network by 705 meters.

The intervention, says the municipality, "is to continue the commitment that is being made in infrastructure works throughout the county, responding to the basic needs of Albufeires".

The work foresees an execution period of 120 days, so it is foreseeable that all the inhabitants of Texugueiras will soon be provided with water and sanitation.

«A comprehensive coverage of the municipality's domestic wastewater and water supply network has been our commitment since the first time I took over the management of this Municipality», explains José Carlos Rolo, Mayor.

«These are commitments that we have for the well-being of populations; water and hygiene is an essential area for a Municipality to continue its development. It is also, certainly, the primordial factor for us to live and enjoy a council that is environmentally more and more dignified and prudent», he concluded.
