Exquisite dinners, some with live music, special breakfasts and brunches. In 2020, New Year's Eve will be different from the usual, but the Algarve hotels have adapted to the imposed rules and will not let the date slip by.
According to government requirements, hotels can be open on the night of December 31 and receive guests, but restaurants, inserted in the units, are obliged to close until 22:30. From then on, only room service will work.
Furthermore, the measures in force throughout the country include a ban on moving between municipalities from midnight on January 00st and curfew at 00pm on the night of December 31st. Circulation will also be restricted from 23:00 pm on January 31, 13 and 00, in all municipalities.
Based on these rules, hotels in the Algarve, a region that would normally fill for the New Year's Eve, had to adapt.
No Pine Cliffs ResortOn Albufeira, there are two hours for dinner: from 18:00 pm to 20:00 pm and from 20:30 pm to 22:30 pm. The menu incorporates five courses, with vegetarian and children's menus, costing 175 euros per person. There is also the offer of a New Year's Eve celebration kit.
There is also the possibility of a dinner buffet, from 18:00 pm to 22:30 pm, in the “Jardim Colonial” space, with the price of 85 euros (half for children up to 12 years old).
The oldest restaurant at Pine Cliffs – the “Corda Café” – will also be open from 18:00 pm to 22:30 pm, with dinner à la carte , as well as the Mirador Champagne Bar (17:00 to 22:30 for drinks).
Day 1 will start with a breakfast buffet lines, from 7:30 am to 13:00 pm, where there will be selections of cheeses, cold meats, seasonal fruits, breads, pastries and even live cooking (25 euros per person).

Still in the municipality of Albufeira, the Salgados Beach Villas and also the São Rafael Villas, Apartments and Guesthouse present a campaign with discounts of up to 40% and the offer of a special basket.

Passing to Faro, o EVA Senses Hotel, belonging to AP Hotels & Resorts, also prepared a New Year's Eve program.
It will all start with a welcome drink at the EVA Senses Market with live music. Dinner, also with live ambient music provided by a jazz trio, will feature five dishes prepared by chef Alberto Carvalho, including salmon tartar, the fillet mignon and chocolate.
São Sebastião wines, beer, soft drinks and water accompany the meal and afterwards you can enjoy coffee or tea. The price is 110 euros per person.
The hotel also has a special offer for those who want to sleep at the hotel, including the New Year's Eve dinner. This offer starts at 250 euros and can go up to three nights' stay.

In Portimão, the Algarve Casino Hotel, in Praia da Rocha, has a special New Year's Eve dinner, with live ambient music. At 22 pm, the traditional sparkling wine will be served and, for guests, it will be served in their rooms, sparkling wine, raisins and pastries to toast the New Year. For reservations, click here
For this New Year, the Vila Gale Ampalius (Vilamoura) has a dinner, priced per person of 65 euros. Children from 4 to 14 years old pay 30.
