The photovoltaic system, which is the first to be installed in fishing ports nationwide, makes it possible to cover around 30% of the auction's consumption, with an estimated annual production of 40 kWh, and is composed of one hundred modules with a unitary power of 310 Wp.

Docapesca also launched a procedure for the rehabilitation of the public lighting network at the fishing port of Vila Real de Santo António, with LED luminaires, with a base price of 21.705 euros.

With these interventions, Docapesca states that it intends to “improve energy efficiency in fishing ports, thus contributing to the environmental, economic and social sustainability of this sector of activity”.
