This Friday there is a concert by the Algarve Organ Festival at the Igreja Matriz in Boliqueime

The organ of the See of Faro it has a long history, which even includes a “brother” who was in Lisbon and moved to Brazil. It was up to the organ maker Dinarte Machado to tune this unique instrument so that, this year, its sound would once again echo at the Algarve Organ Festival.

The organist explained to the Sul Informação what makes this instrument such a special piece.

The 13 Algarve Organ Festival it continues today at the Parish Church of Boliqueime, and tomorrow at the Igreja do Carmo (Faro), from 21 pm, with a performance by the young Beatriz Resendes.

The concerts take place at 21 pm, they are free to enter (free of charge) and do not require prior reservation, although there is a Contingency Plan approved by the Health Authority that limits 00 seats.

The Algarve 2020 Organ Festival, organized by Associação Música XXI, has the support of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve and the Municipalities of Faro, Loulé, Portimão and Tavira, with support for the dissemination of the Algarve Tourism Region and communication partners Antena 2, Sul Informação and FM Street.

It also has a partnership with the Diocese of Algarve, the Cabido da Sé de Faro, of the Order of Carmo of Faro and the parishes of Portimão, Boliqueime and Tavira.
