There are three stories and three films, made «in a unique setting: the Algarve hills and Barrocal, in Querença». The association Figo Lampo presents, this Friday, 20 November, the project “Stories in the Environment”, starting at 18:30 pm, at the Manuel Viegas Guerreiro Foundation, in Querença.
This audiovisual project is guided by a storyteller and, as a natural setting, the Serra do Caldeirão and the barrocal.
Before the session for the general public, Figo Lampo presents, at 14 pm, a special session for the students of JI/EB00 in Querença.
The film in the first story is called “Dress made of water”, an adaptation of the homonymous and original tale by Maria Adelaide Fonseca. From the theme of water to that of the seed cycle, the second story – “Adventures of acorns” – is told with a centenary holm oak tree in Sítio da Arrancada. It is an adaptation of the original short story “O Jaime ea acorns” by Tim Bowley and Inés Vilp.
The last film, entitled “The short-toed eagle and the rat snake”, is an adaptation of the traditional tale “The fox and the owl”. The stage of the story is Cerro dos Negros and the theme is biodiversity.
The importance of preserving biodiversity in the protected areas of the municipality of Loulé, such as Querença, will be further developed in a conversation scheduled for the end of the projection, with the presence of Clara Fernandes, engineer at the Environment Division of the Municipality of Loulé .
The exhibition of the three short films, with about five minutes each, will be interspersed with dialogues with the author of the project Verónica Guerreiro and the storyteller, Maria Adelaide Fonseca.
