“Caring for the Ria Formosa – Identifying threats and aggressions” will be the theme of another reflection initiative with the stamp of CIVIS – Association for the Deepening of Citizenship, which will take place online today, the 19th, from 18 pm, via zoom and with direct stream on facebook.

The talk will be Maria João Bebbiano, from the Center for Marine and Environmental Research at the University of Algarve, and Paulo Cruz, from the Portuguese Environment Agency.

«The guests will make an initial intervention of 10 minutes, to frame the current reality of pollution in the estuary and the prevention and/or remediation measures that are implemented. There will be a period of questions and answers, in which the questions can be written in the chat or presented orally, depending on the number of participants and the possible dynamic», described CIVIS.

Those interested in participating will have to register in advance, through this link. If you just want to watch, you'll just have to connect to the Facebook from CIVIS, from 18 pm.

The Algarve association is, however, preparing another session on the topic, "to be held on December 3, in a similar manner, this time inviting people whose activities can directly affect the estuary".
