PCP promotes public tribune at the Albufeira Health Center

Communists are concerned about the functioning of the National Health Service

The PCP promotes, on Monday, November 2, at 10:30 am, a public tribune next to the Albufeira Health Centre, with the participation of Celso Costa, member of the Central Committee of the Communists.

The PCP considers that «it is important that the National Health Service – NHS ensure the responsiveness in the treatment of patients with COVID-19, just as it is important that it recover the health care that was left unattended over the past few months and guarantee access to health care for patients with other pathologies».

“The government's options to limit the hiring of professionals – doctors, nurses, other technicians – have resulted in the worsening of the population's difficulties in accessing health care. This is also the case at the Albufeira Health Center», add the communists.

"The solution to the problems that condition the normal functioning of the NHS today is not to transfer care provision to private economic groups, with the diversion of billions of euros of public resources to those who make a business out of the disease." stress.

It is within this framework that the PCP will promote its public tribune «addressing specific problems that the population is confronted with and pointing out measures and proposals that are lacking in the municipality of Albufeira and the Algarve».
