Lagoa will mark the Municipal Day for Equality with an initiative for young people, which will be joined by Môce dum Cabréste and Domingas Veiga, on 23 October, from 16:00 pm to 17:30 pm, at the Mestre Fernando Rodrigues School of Arts.

«Paint for equality» – the name of the initiative – will bring together a group of up to eight participants, invited to experience the paths of plastic expressions.

Young people between 6 and 16 years of age interested in taking part in this experience must register by the deadline of October 16, via email at [email protected]

The project «Paint for equality» is associated with the Network of Inspiring Models (Network of Role Models) 2019/2020 resulting from a partnership between the Municipality of Lagoa and the National Agency ERASMUS + Educação e Formação, responsible for implementing this European initiative in Portugal .

In this Algarve municipality, the planned activity also proposes to promote reflection among young people about professions considered to be women's or men's, to which Lagons Dário Guerreiro (Môce dum Cabréste) and model Domingas Veiga will contribute.

The commemorations of the Municipal Day for Equality, taking place this year for the tenth time in our country, are the result of the will of various civil society organizations, local authorities and companies committed to celebrating the values of Equality.

The initiative has the institutional support of the Commission for Citizenship and Gender Equality (CIG).
