Joana Schenker wins again, this time at Nazaré

Athlete from the Sagres Bodyboard Association tries for 7th national title

The Algarve bodyboarder Joana Schenker added her second victory in as many stages of the National Female Bodyboard Circuit and is now closer to the national title.

In this 2nd stage of the Circuit, which took place on the 3rd and 4th of October in Nazaré, Joana proved to be unstoppable once again, winning all the heats who played.

In the final, Filipa Broeiro starred in the surprise of the day, beating local Teresa Almeida. The athlete Madalena Valério closed the podium.

In the women's competition, Joana Schenker, from the Sagres Bodyboard Association, welcomed the victory that puts her on the verge of winning what could be her seventh national open title.

“I really enjoyed this stage, I really like Nazaré. I thought the organization was excellent, I heard that the broadcast was very good, but, regarding the result, there is still a lot to do, with two more stages, in Peniche, where I would like to have epic waves, and Póvoa, where I haven't been. many years, but I'll like to visit”, said the athlete from Sagres.

The circuit now goes to Peniche, a race that had been canceled due to bad weather and was rescheduled for the 17th and 18th of October, for the third stage.

 

Women's Final Results:
1st place – Joana Schenker (11.07 pts.)
2nd place – Filipa Broeiro (8.63 pts.)
3rd place – Teresa Almeida (8.07 pts.)
4th place – Madalena Valério (7.07 pts.)
