Yellow Warning on West Coast due to sea agitation

Ripple should decrease in the late afternoon

The western coast of the Algarve and Alentejo is this Monday under Yellow Weather Warning due to the agitation of the sea, with waves from the northwest with 4 to 5 meters.

The warning is expected to continue until midnight today, despite the Portuguese Institute of the Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) predicts that the swell will decrease to 3-4 meters from the end of the afternoon.

In Costa Vicentina and Alentejo the temperature of the sea water will be around 15 to 17ºC.

On the south coast of the Algarve, on the other hand, there are only waves from the southwest with 1 to 1,5 meters, with a water temperature between 18 and 20ºC.
