Applications for the Abem Card will reopen during the month of October, announced this Thursday the Chamber of Tavira.
The municipality explains that, within the scope of the Abem Program – Solidarity Network for Medicine, the Municipality “celebrated with Associação Dignitude a protocol with the objective of guaranteeing access to the medicine. This is intended for households in a proven situation of economic deprivation or social vulnerability, as well as elderly people over 70, at risk or chronically ill».
The beneficiary will benefit from 100% in the purchase of medicines reimbursed by the National Health Network and subject to a medical prescription.
To benefit from the Abem card, interested parties must submit their application by filling out the respective form. This should be delivered to the Social Affairs Division of the Municipality of Tavira, at Rua da Liberdade n.º 62, in Tavira.
Abem is the first solidarity program of Associação Dignitude, a private social solidarity institution that emerged from a partnership between Cáritas Portuguesa, the Saúde em Dialogue Platform, the National Association of Pharmacies and the Portuguese Pharmaceutical Industry Association.
