Tabata leaves Portimonense to head to Sporting

Bruno Tabata, former player of Portimonense, was officially presented this Tuesday, 29 September, as a reinforcement of Sporting's football team. 

The winger arrives at the Alvalade club after four seasons in the first team of Portimonense. Tabata has signed a five-year contract with a cancellation clause of €60m.

Transfer amounts are not disclosed.

Speaking to Sporting's website, Tabata said that this was “the happiest day of my life”.

"I am fulfilling one of my main dreams, which was to become a European giant," he added.

Tabata, who is an Olympic international for Brazil, made a total of 119 games for Portimonense, scoring 9 goals. The winger has always been one of the main players in the Algarve team.
