Loulé launches school medical helpline

This is a line that has the technical support of the ABC – Algarve Biomedical Center

The Loulé Council created a telephone line for school medical support (707 027 070) to «promote the confidence of the school community in this return to school in a pandemic context».

This is a line that has the technical support of the ABC – Algarve Biomedical Center, which has been the main partner of this municipality in terms of public health since the outbreak of the new coronavirus, in March.

This line will work every day of the week, uninterruptedly from 7:00 am to 00:00 am, with doctors available during the day to help the school with suspicious or even positive cases for Covid-19, as well as in situations of doubts about conduct and performance.

The ABC medical team, whenever necessary, will contact and discuss the situation with the health authorities. However, as highlighted by municipal officials, this line is not intended to replace the SNS 24 Line, but rather to provide a response specifically addressed to a group.

This line is also available to students' families, so that, whenever necessary, parents can contact it, namely to resolve any doubts that may arise.

Moreover, "within the scope of the Strategy drawn up by the Municipality of Loulé to adapt schools to this new reality, hygiene and cleanliness measures were reinforced in all teaching establishments in the county".

On the other hand, each grouping of schools was sponsored by two young doctors from ABC, who will follow up on site.
