Algarve has three new access points to the Electronic Sea Counter

This new collaboration "will allow for a substantial improvement in the services provided"

The Algarve Regional Directorate of Agriculture and Fisheries (DRAPAlg) installed, at the beginning of this month of September, three access points to the Electronic Balcony of the Sea (BMar) at its headquarters, in Faro, and in the delegations of Olhão and Parchal (Lagoa).

These posts come “following the protocol signed with the DGRM (General Directorate of Natural Resources, Security and Maritime Services), which fills a felt need at the regional level and meets the wishes repeatedly conveyed by sectorial agents”.

This new collaboration between the two institutions, says DRAPAlg, «will allow a substantial improvement in the services provided to the actors of the Sea economy in the Algarve, through a solution that uses the most advanced digital signature technologies and authenticity control mechanisms, allowing users to gain in speed and security, and inspection entities to have an online verification tool».

Thus, BMar offers «the existence of a single, current space, accessible online to everyone, where titles, surveys, vessel registrations, among others, can be requested and processed».

From the formulation and submission of requests, their analysis and decision, to the digital and/or physical output, DRAP Algarve, as an intermediary, provides all the support to the user, resulting in the opening of new channels with the public and DGRM.

For this, it has three teams of employees dedicated to customer service with specific training in the interface and specialized IT equipment.
