The cultural facilities of the municipality of Vila Real de Santo António (Municipal Library, António Aleixo Cultural Center and Municipal Historical Archive) obtained the «Clean & Safe» accreditation granted by Turismo de Portugal, thus ensuring their safety against the Covid pandemic. 19.
To receive this seal, the spaces implemented a contingency plan that, in accordance with the recommendations of the General Directorate of Health, ensures social distancing and the necessary hygiene to avoid risks of contamination with SARS-CoV-2 ( new coronavirus).
In order to affix the «Clean & Safe» seal, the municipal cultural facilities had to comply with the set of provisions contained in the «Declaration of Commitment», provided by the Regional Tourism Authority of the Algarve, guaranteeing safe procedures for its operation.
Accreditation is valid until April 30, 2021 and can be posted either on physical premises or on channels and platforms for dissemination and sale.
The initiative seeks to make local authorities aware of the minimum procedures to be adopted and aims to encourage the recovery of the tourism sector at national and international level, strengthening everyone's confidence in Portugal as a destination and in its tourist resources.
Turismo de Portugal, in conjunction with the Ministry of Culture and the Regional Tourism Entities, has also developed the possibility of municipal cultural facilities, which comply with the recommendations of the General Directorate of Health to prevent the contamination of spaces with SARS-CoV -2 (new coronavirus), adhere to the seal «Establishment Clean & Safe – Cultural Heritage».
All spaces that comply with the recommendations of the General Directorate of Health, avoiding contamination with the new coronavirus, are recognized.
