The “Elementos II” project, which links popular and classical music, has a show scheduled for the next October 4th, starting at 17 pm, at the Fortaleza de Sagres.
«This project is the second part of a cycle of creations that result from reflection on the Algarve. It is a multidisciplinary project that interconnects popular and classical music and aims to pay homage to the Algarve and reflect the dichotomy between past and present, approaching the Elements as the common basis of all history», says Questão Repetida – Associação Cultural.
This initiative combines photography, through the lens of Jorge Marques, video, in a collection by the Algarve visual artist Jorge Graça, word, in the voice of Ana Falé, and music by Ensemble Armilar, with the direction of the harpsichordist Elsa Mathei and the musicians Rui Afonso in traditional percussion , Ana Figueiras on the flute and pieces by the composer from Lacobringense João Pacheco.
"Elements II" thus intends to "celebrate the past and live the present, evoke nature through sounds, and recall what Algarve's life was like in the past, while noting a regret for the devaluation that routine brings us to" .
This project is part of the DiVaM 2020 program – Dynamization and Valorization of Monuments, of the Regional Directorate of Culture of the Algarve.
