Covid-19: Algarve has 41 more cases

The Algarve has today, Wednesday, September 30, 41 more confirmed cases of Covid-19, according to data from the epidemiological bulletin of the Directorate-General for Health (DGS), which has just been released.

In the Algarve region, the number of cases accumulated since the beginning of the pandemic now rises to 1663.

In Alentejo, there are only three more infected with the new coronavirus, and now the accumulated total is 1502.

At national level, there was once again a large increase in the number of new cases, which are 825 more. The total number of confirmed cases in Portugal, since the beginning of the pandemic, now amounts to 75.542.

On the other hand, there were 337 people who got rid of the disease, bringing the total of those recovered to 48.530.

Active cases are 25.041, 480 more than yesterday.

 

 

With regard to deaths, there were eight more, six in Lisbon and Vale do Tejo and two in the North. So far, 1971 people have died in Portugal with Covid-19.

Lisbon, with 398 new cases, and the North, with 294, are the two regions that drive the strong rise of infected people in the country. The total accumulated cases in these two regions is now 38.692 and 27.029, respectively.

This is followed by the Centro region (6158, plus 82), the Algarve (1663, plus 41), Alentejo (1502, plus 3), the Azores (274, plus 5) and Madeira (224, plus 2).

In hospitals across the country, there are now 666 people admitted, five more than yesterday. Of those, 105 are in intensive care, six more than on Tuesday.

As for contacts under surveillance, there are now 44.758, 527 more than yesterday.
