Armacenenses will not participate in the Portuguese Championship

Armacenenses will not participate in the Championship of Portugal, in a decision taken unanimously by the governing bodies, this Friday, 4th of September. 

In a statement, Armacenenses said that, "due to the pandemic that devastates the world, with all the serious social and economic repercussions resulting therefrom, and the unpredictability of its duration and future consequences", the "conditions for participation" in the Championship are not met. from Portugal.

The Armação de Pêra club, which would start the competition on September 20, admits that it was a “difficult decision to take, but one that was well considered and analyzed by the club's governing bodies, and whose likely outcome had already been communicated to the members at the Assembly. General held on July 16th».

It is because, defends Armacenenses, "above all are the best interests of this club, which we want to keep stable and compliant."

The first round of the Portuguese Championship, which will have Olhanense, Louletano, Esperança de Lagos and Moncarapachense as teams from the Algarve, is scheduled for 20 September.

The draw took place yesterday and had even dictated an Olhanense-Armacenenses in the opening round, a game that will not be held now due to the withdrawal of the Armação de Pêra emblem.
