An earthquake measuring 3.8 (Richter), with an epicenter 68 kilometers south of Carvoeiro, was felt a few moments ago in several locations in the Algarve.
The quake was registered at 19:03 and took place at sea, 12 kilometers deep.
Immediately after the earthquake, the Sul Informação received several reports from people who felt the shock, in Albufeira and Loulé.
However, more information came from readers of our newspaper, who felt the earthquake in Sagres, Lagos, Monchique, Portimão, Lagoa, Silves, Faro, Olhão and Tavira.
The IPMA itself announced that the shock, which «did not cause personal or material damage», was felt «with maximum intensity III/IV (modified Mercalli scale) in the municipality of Faro».
