There are 15 outbreaks in the Algarve and as many in Alentejo

In response to Sul Informação, the coordinator of the National Network for Integrated Continued Care revealed that there is no active case in homes in the Algarve

The Algarve and Alentejo have 15 outbreaks of Covid-19 each, revealed Rui Portugal, the deputy general director of Health, at the press conference to assess the epidemiological situation this Friday, in response to a question asked by Sul Informação, one of the media that intervened in the session.

According to Rui Portugal, the outbreaks existing in the two regions, as well as the vast majority of the 178 that exist in mainland Portugal, are "having a resolution".

“It is interesting to understand – and here is the appeal – that the outbreaks have, at this moment, a basis, above all, of a family nature,” he said.

In other words, the main focus of infection is «the meetings of families».

The deputy general director of Health calls for people "to realize that if they are in different nuclei, there may be a risk of contagion between different nuclei of the same family", asking for special attention "to younger people and their behavior".

In other words, during vacation time for many Portuguese people, work transfers do not have such a high weight, being the greatest risk associated with «social gatherings».

The desire to participate in this type of event “is transversal to all ages” and “this is what is happening right now in the Algarve, in particular”, so you can't be too careful.

Purification Gandra, coordinator of the National Network for Integrated Continued Care, stressed, in turn, that "today, we do not have any home with positive cases of Covid-19 in the Algarve", for which the region "is to be congratulated".
