Dental Medicine Office of the São Brás Health Center has already attended to 200 users

São Brás de Alportel integrates the map of the national project “Oral Health for All”

The new Dental Medicine Office of the São Brás de Alportel Health Center has already attended to «more than 200 users from São Brás». The space was visited this Thursday, August 27, by Vítor Guerreiro, president of the Chamber, Josélia Gonçalves, member of the Board of Directors of the Regional Health Administration (ARS), and Sílvia Cabrita, executive director of ACES Central.

The new space, which was born out of the collaboration between the Municipality of São Brás de Alportel and ARS Algarve, «began operating in March, but had its activity interrupted due to the pandemic», says the municipality.

Despite the interruption, the dentist Rodrigo Silva «reported that more than 200 users from São Brás have already passed through the space, duly referred by their general and family medicine doctors in the municipality».

After visiting the office, Vítor Guerreiro was satisfied with the result of the partnership between the two entities and underlined: «what we want is for people to be well served».

In the same context, Josélia Gonçalves highlighted the importance of investing in these synergies that have allowed to expand the offer of oral health care to the population.

With the creation of this Dental Medicine Office, São Brás de Alportel integrates the map of the national project "Oral Health for All" which aims to cover, by 2023, the entire national territory with dental care services in primary health care of the National Health Service.
