All proposals submitted to Lagoa's Participatory Budget and that have gone beyond the technical consultation phase will be included in the Chamber's investment plans, without the need to vote, since this year, «the volume of proposals has not exceeded 300 thousand euros”.
Although the project voting phase is not justified, as there is enough money for the five proposals that have passed to the final phase, the municipality of Lagoa has put the results of the technical analysis carried out on the candidates to public consultation.
«After the technical analysis of the proposals is concluded, the Lagoa City Council makes public, at this stage, the lists of approved and non-approved projects. The grounds for approval or exclusion were previously discussed with the respective bidders», explained the municipality.
The proposals in question "are distributed over different parishes in the municipality and correspond to investments of a diversified nature".
The list of approved proposals includes the “Mountains with signage at Calvário” (Union of Parishes of Estômbar – Parchal), the “Park for physical exercise, leisure and socializing in Pateiro” (Union of Parishes of Estômbar – Parchal), the “Rehabilitation in Rua da Liberdade” (Union of Parishes of Lagoa and Carvoeiro), the “Lagoa moto parking (all Parishes) and the “Sanitation water network for Sítio do Passarinho” (Union of Parishes of Lagoa and Carvoeiro).
The “Public consultation of the results of the technical analysis” of the proposals submitted to OP Lagoa corresponds to the penultimate phase of the process, which started in May. The final presentation of the results, scheduled for October 2020, is the last step before the execution of the works chosen in the 7th edition of OP Lagoa.
«Invigorated without interruptions since 2014, the PB is part of the Lagoa Municipality's strategy for public participation. This year's 2020 edition recorded adaptations regarding the form of citizen participation. Due to the exceptional situation related to the pandemic, for the first time the submission of proposals took place only online», framed the Câmara de Lagoa.
