This year there is no festival, but Faro there will be F Nights, between August 13th and September 13th, at Largo da Sé, in Vila Adentro. In all, there will be 20 music, humor and magic shows, with reduced capacity and «respecting all the norms imposed by the General Directorate of Health (DGS)».
Between the opening night, with Diogo Piçarra, and the closing night, with Miguel Araújo, there is humor with César Mourão, Herman José and Salvador Martinha, magic with Luís de Matos and lots of music.
There will be pop with Aurea, Agir, DAMA and Fernando Daniel, heavy-metal with Moonspell or hip-hop with Piruka.
There will also be “special shows”, in duet, by Tiago Nacarato & Bárbara Tinoco and Carolina Deslandes & Jimmy P and concerts by António Zambujo, Os Quatro e Meia, Pedro Abrunhosa, Sérgio Godinho, The Black Mamba and Xutos & Pontapés.
“These 20 F Nights commemorate the reunion between the public and the artists, with their eyes set on F de Futuro”, emphasize the promoters.
«If it is impossible to hold the F Festival in 2020, which in recent years has been consolidating the mission of revealing some new talents in Portuguese music and acclaiming as many rising artists, the F Nights present an eclectic poster, inspired by the programming line of the various stages that usually make up the festival, maintaining and respecting its diversity and scope”, they add.
The shows start at 22:00 and tickets are already on sale in the usual places.
In the last edition, in 2019, Festival F, took place on the 5th, 6th and 7th of September and brought nearly 60 people to Vila Adentro, of which 24.000 on the night of the Ornatos Violeta meeting, which sold out.
On F Nights, «the 20 shows that symbolically celebrate the F Festival will take place only in Largo da Sé, which traditionally hosts the Sé Stage, with the remaining stages and spaces of the festival, Quintalão, Museum, Ria, Fábrica, Formosa, Sé cloisters , among others, waiting for 2021 to receive music, plastic arts, workshops, a new circus, theater, humor and social gatherings, in a rich and diversified program that has continued to grow over 6 editions».
Rádio Comercial and TVI remain media partners and, in 2020, «will be present at F Nights, helping to keep the spirit of Festival F alive, at a time when artists and the Portuguese most need culture and entertainment for to face the challenges brought by the pandemic positively and with hope».
The F Nights are an initiative of the Municipality of Faro, from the Municipal Theater of Faro, SM, from Ambifaro and the production company Sons em Trânsito.
