ETIC_Algarve challenges artists and bands to contest

Registration is open until 15th September

“Connections” is the name of the contest being promoted by ETIC_Algarve and which will reward two bands or solo artists.

This contest, with an original format and produced by students from the Music Creation, Production and Sound Techniques 19|21 classes, aims to «promote the creativity of new musical talents, in solo or band format», challenging competitors to unite the musical component with the scenographic aspect.

Open to all new talents, the contest will feature six qualifiers, which will be videotaped and made available online.

The selection of the two competitors that will pass to the final will be made through online voting by the public and a jury composed of five personalities from ETIC_Algarve and Connections partner entities, Teatro das Figuras, FNAC Faro and RUA FM.

The 2 concerts of the Final will be broadcast on livestream and, after counting the votes online and by the jury, the winning competitor will be chosen, who will receive as a prize an ETIC_Algarve training voucher, worth €2000 and a concert at the Small Auditorium of Teatro das Figuras .

The finalist contestant will also receive an award that consists of recording a video clip within the educational scope of ETIC_Algarve, and will also have the opportunity to hold an FNAC showcase.

With this competition, which takes place within the curriculum of the Musical Creation, Production and Sound Techniques 19|21 course, ETIC_Algarve intends to «put its resources at the service of the artistic community, empowering the region's creative agents, in this specific case in the area from music".

This competition "also includes the participation of students from different creative areas who have made a fundamental contribution in the production of the competition, which only confirms the school's vision of multidisciplinary involvement in the development of projects", adds the school.

Registration is open until the 15th of September here and the regulation can be consulted here.
