You can now go to Galeria Trem to see João Queiroz's “Passeio”

Show will be open until September 6th

The exhibition “Passeio”, by João Queiroz, is already on display at Galeria Municipal Trem, in Faro.

The show, which opened this Saturday, July 25th, will run until September 6th.

This exhibition is called “Passeio” «because it is necessary to express the freedom, the fluidity, the pure pleasure with which the paintings were made», says the association Artadentro, promoter of the exhibition.

«A “Ride” is also what is proposed to the spectator: impelled to go through an extensive panel of sensations and perspectives that, although allude to the natural landscape, are above all wonderful pictorial studio inventions. And that is how João Queiroz generously invites us to this “Excursion” through his very particular artistic universe».

This exhibition — which previously had to be postponed due to Covid-19, on the eve of its inauguration at the Municipal Museum of Faro —, ends the contemporary art cycle “Prayers to chase away storms, evil insects, etc.”, organized by Artadentro in partnership with the Municipal Museum of Faro, and financed by the Municipality of Faro.

The show can be visited from Tuesday to Friday, from 11:30 am to 18:00 pm, and on Saturday from 10:30 am to 17:00 pm.

João Queiroz (Lisbon, 1957) lives and works in Azenhas do Mar, Colares, and has been exhibiting individually since 1986. His work is part of the main institutional and private collections. He was the winner of the AICA Award 2011 and the EDP Design Award in 2000.
