Local Action Groups manage support for Employment and Entrepreneurship in the Algarve (and beyond)

Support for the creation or expansion of companies, through the hiring of human resources, as well as the creation of their own employment by unemployed people who intend to return to the labor market

The PO CRESC Algarve 2020 launched the first tenders for access to European funding in the context of the +CO3SO Employment program, which will be managed by the Local Action Groups (LAG).

They are intended to support the creation or expansion of companies, through the hiring of human resources, as well as the creation of their own employment by the unemployed who intend to return to the labor market.

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) may apply for support and, in the competition relating to social entrepreneurship, IPSS, associations and foundations, cooperatives, mutual associations, mercies and other entities of the social economy are eligible.

The location of the investment must correspond to the area of incidence of the LAGs, as described in the annex which can be accessed by clicking here. Over the next few days, the remaining tenders to be managed by the remaining LAGs in the Algarve will open.

With a total endowment of 4,4 million euros, coming from the European Social Fund, the funding will be allocated to non-refundable funds and will cover salaries and contributory expenses, in addition to 40% of the costs associated with the creation of jobs.

As an example, whenever up to three new jobs are created, the support for each worker hired may be €1.850 per month, up to a maximum of 36 months. Each employer may, according to the regulation, benefit from a maximum of 200 thousand euros from the European fund.

See the +CO3SO Employment application guide and these and other notices that are still open within the scope of CRESC Algarve 2020.
