The Municipality of Silves has completed the construction of a retention basin (weir) at Quinta Pedagógica de Silves. The investment amounted to 54 thousand euros.
As the municipality explains, «the work was financed by the Environmental Fund, within the scope of the protocol established with the Portuguese Environment Agency, with the objective of mitigating the transport of solid material along the watercourse and allowing the proper functioning of the water network. affected by the fires of 2018, which hit the Falacho River Basin».
The investment “improves and diversifies the educational space of Quinta Pedagógica de Silves, creating a new pole of attraction”, believes the Câmara de Silves.
