Urban transport to Praia de Faro have been running since last Saturday, June 6th, day when the bathing season began, and the river routes to the bathing areas of the county will restart next week, announced the city of Faro.
Nearby buses between the bus station, the airport of Faro and Beach of Faro (Line 16) are operating every day, including holidays, with departures from the Avenida da República terminal, next to Hotel Eva, in Baixa de Faro, to take place at 06:00 am, 07:00 am, 08:00 am, 09:30 am, 10:50 am, 12:15 pm, 13:30 pm, 14:10 pm, 15:05 pm, 15:50 pm, 16:35 pm, 17:45 pm, 18:30 pm, 19:30 pm, 20:40 pm, 22:05 pm and 23:45 pm.
The departures from Praia de Faro – and stop at the Airport – they take place at 07:25 am, 08:25 am, 10:00 am, 11:30 am, 12:45 pm, 13:30 pm, 14:25 pm, 15:00 pm, 16:15 pm, 17:05 pm, 18:05 pm, 19:05 pm, 20:00 pm, 21:10 pm and 22:30 pm.
The Chamber of Faro it is also considering reactivating line 17 of nearby urban transport, between Penha and Praia de Faro, in the month of July.
As for the river routes to the beaches of the municipality (Praia de Faro and Island of Farol) will start again "next week" and will keep the schedules unchanged from the previous year. Thus, the matches of Faro to the beach of Faro (operator Passeios Ria Formosa), take place at 08:45 am, 10:15 am, 12:00 pm, 14:30 pm, 16:00 pm, 17:40 pm and 18:50 pm, while the returns from Praia de Faro to the Portas do Mar Wharf (Faro) take place at 09:30 am, 11:00 am, 12:45 pm, 15:15 pm, 17:00 pm, 18:15 pm and 19:30 pm.
Already the matches of Faro to the island of Farol (operator Tavares & Guerreiro) take place at 08:45 am, 10:35 am, 12:25 pm, 14:25 pm, 16:45 pm and 18:45 pm, while departures from the Farol for Faro they take place at 09:20 am, 11:20 am, 13:10 pm, 16:05 pm, 18:00 pm and 19:30 pm.
From the 1st of July until the 31st of August, the river routes will also, as usual, make the crossing between Faro and Ilha da Culatra (departures from Faro at 08:30 am and 14:45 pm and returns at 09:35 am and 15:35 pm).
