A Portimão Music Academy is the first music school in the Algarve to implement a European mobility project within the scope of Erasmus+, announced this institution.

The AMP Teach project (AMPlified Teaching 2020-2021 – European Sharing of Musical Pedagogies) aims at the mobility of 10 elements of the teaching and pedagogical staff in several European countries, to «drink new teaching techniques and create dynamics of exchange with educational institutions. reference". The project was approved last May 11th by the Erasmus+ National Agency.

One of the project's mentors, conductor António Alferes Pereira, shows great enthusiasm for the future: «it is an important step in the affirmation of music in Portimão and musical education in this Academy. It will allow us to create bonds of cooperation with a wide range of partners and provide our teachers and students with profoundly enriching experiences».

"The sense of achievement is redoubled, as an educational project that opened its doors in the 2018/2019 school year and, despite its youth, it already has a student community of about 230 students, a strong presence in the cultural and social dynamics of the city and now a network of European partners in countries such as Latvia, Italy and Spain”, adds the Portimão Music Academy.
