Filarmónica Portimonense video pays tribute to those who fight Covid-19

The idea with this video is to convey a message of "hope, strength, spirit of unity and solidarity"

The musicians of the Sociedade Filarmónica Portimonense posted on facebook a video in which they interpret the Portimão Anthem, under the baton of conductor Gabriel Rodeia, as a way of paying homage to the “courage of professionals fighting the Covid-19 pandemic on the front line”.

According to the Portimão Chamber, "the idea came from the conductor himself, who challenged his musicians to honor the daily effort" of those who "risk their lives for the benefit of the community, be they political leaders, security forces, municipal and parish officials , firefighters, health care providers, elements of private social solidarity institutions or other entities in this area, as well as those who guarantee the functioning of economic activities».

The idea with this video is to convey a message of “hope, strength, spirit of unity and solidarity”.

For this purpose, the musicians were given the instruments that were deposited at the Philharmonic headquarters, each one having their respective participation recorded in their home, in the form of "virtual rehearsals", to ascertain the intensity and quality of sound, timing and phrasing musical.

After receiving the videos made by the mobile phones of each musician, the audios were isolated and the respective editing carried out, until the whole band was recorded in a single recording.

The captured images were sent to the video editor, João Ramos, who dealt with the visual part, in conjunction with conductor Rodeia.

The final result was published on Facebook and, in a few hours, it already has hundreds of views and shares.
