Reestablished traffic on the reclassified road between Faro and Sea-and-War

Work cost 273 thousand euros

Traffic was re-established on the Nossa Senhora da Saúde road section that connects the city limit of Faro to the town of Mar-e-Guerra, following the renovation works on this road.

Work on this road began in October and is "practically complete", according to the City Council. Faro, which invested around 273 euros in this project.

Over the past few months, it has been possible to “completely renovate the carriageway, with the pavement also having been reinforced. The contract also included works for the placement of horizontal and vertical signage and the execution of a drainage network, among others».

«With this work, which comes after the municipal requalification, in 2019, of the connection between Mar-e-Guerra and Patacão (131 euros), the interventions planned for what is one of the busiest areas of the periurban network are completed, continuing now the works to recover connections to the designated rural parishes», added the municipality.

The paving of this road «represents a significant improvement in the circulation of people and goods, in a very important itinerary for the municipality's economy», believes Rogério Bacalhau.

To the president of the Chamber of Faro it was also important to “guarantee the movement of students who use school transport and also of their families in a more comfortable and safe way”.

This was another intervention made under the program “Faro Requalify”.
